Who we are

BKK Songkran (bkksongkran.com) is an independent festival information guide for Songkran 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. We are not affiliated with any festival organiser, ticketing platform, or government body.

What data we collect

We collect minimal data to operate the site:

• Analytics data — page views, session duration, referral source, device/browser type, approximate country. Collected via Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager. This data is anonymised and aggregated.
• AI chat messages — when you use the Nong AI guide, your messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. We do not store your chat history on our servers beyond the current session. OpenAI's data handling is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Cookies and local storage — we use browser local storage to save your Survival Kit checklist progress locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser. See the cookie section below.

How we use your data

• To understand how visitors use the site and improve content
• To provide the AI guide feature (Nong)
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing
• We do not build user profiles or serve targeted advertising

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Local storage data (checklist) stays on your device until you clear your browser data. We do not retain AI chat messages server-side.
