GAY
SONGKRAN
BANGKOK 2026
GCircuit, Silom, GOD club, cruising bars, afterparties — your complete guide to the gayest week in Asia.
The Big Three
Three major paid festivals run across the long weekend. All are LGBTQ+ friendly — but GCircuit is the gay flagship.
Massive water cannons on every drop. International EDM. Very gay-friendly, mixed crowd. You will be soaked the entire time.
Indoor arena, less water than S2O. Martin Garrix, Marshmello, John Summit. RCA has great clubs right next door for after.
4 events, 4 days, 10,000+ gay men. Pool parties sell out. This is the main event.
Silom Soi 2 & 4
Apr 12–14 · Free · All welcome
Bangkok's historic gay district closes to traffic and becomes the world's biggest free LGBTQ+ street party. Sound trucks on every corner, water fights, foam, drag performances. The entire gay community plus thousands of visitors. Peak madness on Apr 13.
Silom road is one-way and completely gridlocked Apr 12–14
Do not take Grab through Silom. Walk from BTS Sala Daeng or Chong Nonsi. The BTS is the only reliable option.
Don't Miss These
An afternoon cruising bar celebration. Darkroom energy, themed play zones, unfiltered cruising, and a space to show up fully as yourself. Live DJ all afternoon. Perfect between the afternoon water fights and the night clubs.
Gay Clubs & Bars
Bangkok's most notorious gay afterparty club. Multiple floors, dark energy, circuit music. During Songkran queues can be 45–60 minutes — arrive before midnight to skip them.
Bangkok's most iconic gay club. 3 floors, packed wall-to-wall during Songkran. Entry includes a drink. Dancing, good energy. Get there early — queue gets long.
Elevated bar overlooking the Silom Soi 4 street party. Perfect spot to watch the chaos below with a drink in hand. Great for a breather between venues.
Popular gay bar in the Silom area with regular drag shows. Good mix of locals and tourists, friendly crowd, solid drinks. A reliable stop on the Silom bar crawl.
Long-running Silom bar known for its high-energy crowd. Popular afterparty spot — stays open until 5am when others close. Good for bar-hopping along Soi 4.
Totems & Meetup Points
Phone signal dies inside festivals. Totems are how groups find each other in the crowd. Check back here before each event — we'll post where groups will be gathering and what totems to look for.
Totem info coming soon
We'll post meetup locations and totem descriptions for each festival before the event. Follow us and check back here closer to April. In the meantime — join the Who's Going page to find others attending the same events.
What's a totem?
A totem is a tall, visible object someone carries at a festival so their group can find them in a crowd. Usually something on a pole — a flag, a funny sign, a decorated umbrella. When signal fails and WhatsApp goes dark, you find the totem.
Buy & Sell Tickets
Plans changed? Festival sold out? Our peer-to-peer ticket marketplace lets you buy and sell tickets for any Songkran event safely within the community.
How it works
- sellPost a listing — festival, tier, price, your contact handle (Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram)
- searchBrowse listings — unlock contact info with your email (one-time, no account needed)
- handshakeDeal directly — agree on payment and transfer outside the platform
Always verify before paying
Meet in a public place to exchange tickets where possible. Ask for proof of purchase. Never pay full price upfront to someone you can't verify. Use PayPal Goods & Services or bank transfer with the seller's name confirmed.
Who's Going?
See who else is attending the same events and coordinate pre-drinks, afterparties, and meetups. No account needed — just your nickname and which events you're going to.
Find your crew before you land
- person_addSign up for each event you're attending
- chatLeave your Instagram or WhatsApp so people can reach you
- add_circleAdd your own pre-drinks or meetup event for others to join
Transport
BTS Skytrain — use it for everything
Runs until ~2am during Songkran. Get a Rabbit Card at any station.
Grab will fail you after big events — have cash ready
After any festival ends (GCircuit, S2O, Siam Songkran) thousands of people open Grab at the same time. The app either finds no drivers or surges 4–5×. Have ฿500–800 cash for local tuk-tuks or metered taxis. Negotiate the price before you get in — local drivers know the situation and will charge more, but it's still faster than waiting.
Ride app tips
Download Bolt (often cheaper than Grab during surge) and InDriver (you name your price). Walk 10–15 minutes from the venue exit before opening any app — prices drop significantly away from the crowd.
Safety & Insider Tips
Share your live location before going in
Use Google Maps live location sharing with your group before entering any festival. Signal dies inside — agree on a physical meeting point and a time. Don't assume WhatsApp will work.
Waterproof everything at pool parties
Buy a waterproof phone pouch at any 7-Eleven (฿80–100). Leave your wallet at the hotel — just bring one card and cash in a zip-lock bag.
Heat exhaustion is very real
38–42°C, dancing, drinking, direct sun. Drink a bottle of water every hour. Coconut water from street stalls has electrolytes. Dizzy or nauseated = find shade and drink water immediately.
PrEP is available OTC in Bangkok
Generic PrEP (Tenofovir/Emtricitabine) available over the counter at most pharmacies. ~฿300–500 for a month. No prescription needed. Ask for Ricovir-EM or Teno-EM.
